PIP Finger Joint

Rockwood Clinic, P.S. is involved in a proximal interphalangeal (PIP) procedure that is FDA approved for humanitarian use for those who suffer from finger joint pain and stiffness. The ability of this implant to relieve your symptoms has not been proven, but it is probably safe. This two-piece device is more durable and may provide more natural finger movement than existing alternative devices.

The device may help men and women of all ages who:

  • are able to undergo implant surgery
  • are able to undergo 3 months of physical therapy and exercises after surgery

Participants should check with their medical insurance plan prior to this procedure as the costs of the device, procedure, and tests associated with the procedure may be covered. There are no other funds set aside for compensation or reimbursement.
