The Rockwood Clinic Pediatrics department is a group medical practice composed of pediatricians and pediatric nurse practitioners. Each family should select the provider of their choice. We understand that the person you choose is important, and our mission as a department is to provide your child the best care possible.
Our Pediatric Care Team
A pediatrician is a primary care physician who specializes in the care of infants, children and adolescents. General pediatrics provides for the on-going preventive medical needs for children from birth to age 21. Working as a team, our pediatric providers share their collective experience and knowledge to ensure that our young patients receive the latest diagnostic and treatment options available. They specialize in routine, acute and chronic care including immunizations and sports physicals. With a family-centered approach to keeping children healthy, we answer your questions, provide education, and give reassurance and encouragement to you as a parent. Our pediatric physicians are also available to assist the community general practitioner or pediatrician in providing short-term, outpatient care when a second opinion, consultation or referral is needed.
Locations
Pediatric services are offered at three locations for your convenience:
Hours
Main Clinic Hours: M – F, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
North and Valley locations: Appointments are available M – F, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
After Hours
We know that not all pediatric concerns or illnesses occur during office hours. After-hours calls are triaged by nurses who offer advice and may direct patients to seek after-hours care at an urgent care center or the emergency room. You may call (509) 459-1590 to speak with an after-hours consulting nurse.
Making an Appointment
To make an appointment, please refer to the pediatric offices listed. If you are not certain which physician your child should see, or if your child has special needs, we are happy to assist you in matching your request.
- We prefer to schedule appointments in advance because it helps us plan our day.
- We reserve sick-call appointments every weekday, made on a day-to-day basis.
- If your child is ill and needs to be seen that day, please call after 8 a.m., as the appointments are arranged on a first-called, first-served basis except in an emergency.
- If you are calling to make a routine well child appointment, please wait until after 10 a.m. if possible.
- During office hours we are available for well-child exams, yearly physicals, consultation visits for developmental and chronic physical problems, as well as appointments for illnesses, injuries or immunizations.
