Outpatient Surgical Center

The Rockwood Outpatient Surgical Center is a multi-specialty surgery center where Rockwood surgeons perform a wide range of surgeries including orthopedic, ear (tube placement), nose and throat (tonsillectomies), ophthalmology (cataract and eye related surgery), hernia repair, portacath placement for chemotherapy and general outpatient procedures not requiring a hospital stay.

Minor surgical procedures performed on an outpatient basis eliminate hospitalization costs and are required by many insurance plans for reimbursement. The center includes four surgical suites. Our surgeons use state-of-the-art arthroscopy equipment for surgical repair of knees, elbows and ankles. Sophisticated laparoscopic equipment is used to perform minimally invasive gallbladder surgery.

The Rockwood surgeons also perform procedures for their fellow professionals, such as biopsies and D & C procedures. Each year we care for more than 3,500 patients in our Ambulatory Surgery Center.
