Rockwood Clinic Neurology

Neurology

Specialists in Rockwood Clinic’s Neurology department offer the latest in innovative technology for the diagnosis and treatment of neurological conditions affecting adults.

Our department is subspecialty oriented with particular emphasis is epilepsy and seizure disorders, multiple sclerosis and central nervous system inflammatory diseases, stroke and cerebrovascular diseases, peripheral neuropathy, ALS, myopathy, nerve injuries including carpal tunnel syndrome, and neuromuscular disorders. General neurology problems can be assessed with onsite EEG, EMG, MRI and other imaging studies.

Our specialists use sophisticated studies to help diagnose which diseases or conditions are causing damage to muscle tissues, including lumbar punctures to collect and examine the fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord. The EEG (electroencephalogram) measures the electrical activity of the brain. An EMG (electromyogram) measures the electrical activity of muscles at rest and during contraction, while nerve conduction studies measure how well and how fast the nerves can send electrical signals.
