This integrated, multidisciplinary approach for patients and
their families provides a collective best course of treatment for
Rockwood Clinic now offers nurse navigation to facilitate the
patient experience. A Nurse Navigator is a
patient educator and advocate, care coordinator, system
navigator, and community ambassador that works to serve as a
gateway to the Rockwood Health System. The Nurse Navigators are
also a support system for the patient and his/her family at the
time of diagnosis, after and through treatment.

Corliss Newman, M.D.
Corliss Newman, M.D., hematology/oncology, received her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA, and her medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine, also in Seattle. She completed her residency in internal medicine and her fellowship in hematology and oncology at Strong Memorial Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY. Dr. Newman belongs to the American Board of Internal Medicine as well as the American Board of Internal Medicine with a subspecialty in hematology and a subspecialty in oncology. She has been a physician with Rockwood Clinic since 2004.
