Deborah Martinez, M.D.
Deborah Martinez, M.D., joined the Rockwood Breast Health Center in August 2008. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK, and her medical degree from the University of Colorado in Denver, CO. Dr. Martinez completed an internship and residency in general surgery at the State University of New York at Stony Brook; a surgical oncology fellowship at the Ohio State University in Columbus; and a research fellowship in pediatric surgery and oncology at the Columbus Children’s Hospital. She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. Her professional interests include tumor progression and metastasis; breast cancer risk assessment and prevention; and breast cancer genomics and proteomics. Dr. Martinez was previously an assistant professor of surgery at the Ohio State University.
