Marie Aberle, ARNP, oncology, joined the Rockwood Cancer Treatment Center in September 2010. She received her Bachelor of Nursing degree from Medcenter One College of Nursing in Bismarck, ND., and her Master’s degree from the University of Maryland Graduate School of Nursing in Baltimore, MD. Marie is board certified as an acute care nurse practitioner and an advanced oncology nurse. She is a member of the Oncology Nurse Society and several others. Marie was previously working as an acute care nurse practitioner for the Bone Marrow Transplant Service of the Methodist Hospital System in San Antonio, TX.

Jessica Adams, P.A.-C, urology, joined the Rockwood Urology Center a certified physician assistant in September 2010. She received her medical assistant Associates Degree from Spokane Community College and also completed the MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant program at the University of Washington in Seattle. Jessica is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and is a member of the Washington State Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She had previously been a medical assistant at Rockwood in family medicine.

Alon Aharon, M.D., joined the Rockwood Inland Cardiology Associates in October 2012. He received his undergraduate degree from the Boston University School of Engineering, and his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Aharon completed an internship and residency in general surgery, as well as a research fellowship and residency in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of California at Los Angeles. He also completed a fellowship in thoracic transplant and congenital cardiothoracic surgery through the Vanderbilt University School of medicine in Nashville, TN. Dr. Aharon is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, and has been published extensively in the field of cardiovascular medicine and surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and is a member of the American Medical Association.

Amna Ahmed, M.D., joined the Rockwood Heart and Vascular Center in May 2011. She received her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree from Aga Khan University Medical College and her medical degree from the Aga Khan University School of Medicine, both located in Karachi, Pakistan. Dr. Ahmed completed an internship in internal medicine and psychiatry, a residency in internal medicine, and a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine all at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. She also completed a post-doctoral fellowship in otolaryngology, specifically head and neck surgery, at the University of Texas in Austin. Dr. Ahmed is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and is board eligible in Cardiology and Nuclear Cardiology. She is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, the Washington Medical Association and the Spokane County Medical Society. Her professional interests include cardiac imaging, research in cardiac imaging modalities, and women’s cardiovascular health.

Amy Anderson, M.D., family medicine, received her undergraduate degree from Montana State University in Bozeman, MT, and her medical degree from Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, OR. She completed both an internship and her residency at the Sutter Health Family Practice Residency Program at the University of California at Davis in Davis, CA. She belongs to the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Anderson has been a physician with the Valley Rockwood Clinic since 2003.

Eric Anderson, M.D., sports medicine, received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO. He received his medical degree from the Oregon Health Sciences University School of Medicine in Portland, OR. Anderson completed an internship and residency at the University of California at Davis Family Practice Residency Program, at the David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in California, and a sports medicine fellowship at the Idaho Sports Medicine Institute in Boise, ID.
