Amna Ahmed, M.D., joined the Rockwood Heart and Vascular Center in May 2011. She received her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree from Aga Khan University Medical College and her medical degree from the Aga Khan University School of Medicine, both located in Karachi, Pakistan. Dr. Ahmed completed an internship in internal medicine and psychiatry, a residency in internal medicine, and a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine all at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. She also completed a post-doctoral fellowship in otolaryngology, specifically head and neck surgery, at the University of Texas in Austin. Dr. Ahmed is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and is board eligible in Cardiology and Nuclear Cardiology. She is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, the Washington Medical Association and the Spokane County Medical Society. Her professional interests include cardiac imaging, research in cardiac imaging modalities, and women’s cardiovascular health.
